CONFLICT TRANSFORMATION

I am working
on conflict transformation across cultures, teams, and organizations, as well as in adults education.

What does that mean in practice? Helping people to understand their conflict dynamics and their underlying interests- and above all-their own needs and those of the “other”, regardless of differences of culture. When possible, I work in co-mediation supporting people on how to connect with the underlying basic needs involved of both parties, using CNVC mediation, and experiential learning techniques.

My work involves empathetically listening to and translating their issues into needs. I accompany my clients through the change and conflict transformation process. I help them to build a new attitude and skillset that serves them better.

GENDER & INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT

I have been working in international development on gender and human rights issues since 2001, both in resident and consulting assignments in Sub-Saharan Africa, the US, Europe and the Balkans, Southern Caucasus, and the MENA region. My focus is on gender and conflict prevention through the women, peace, and security agenda,

as well as gender mainstreaming of policies, plans and budgets at national local levels. As a result of working with international organizations mostly, my passion is in design and facilitation of gender trainings for government, NGOs, and communities.

My goal is in supporting gender transformative processes.

women and men?

EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING & LEADERSHIP

My goal is
to help people affect changes
in their
knowledge, behavior and attitude alike.

This means to go beyond learning goals of: What do I need to know? How can I apply this? To also understand: Why does it make sense to me? Working with leaders and teams, my focus is thus in experiential learning and facilitation. Training design and facilitation evolves around communication and conflict transformation skills in leadership development, cultural competencies, and how to set and achieve meaningful goals.

Using NVC, positive leadership and the toolbox of “Thinking into Results” helps me to get leaders and their teams get connected better to what drives them to change. Working in partnership, my focus is in equine assisted learning and result-oriented learning and mentoring.
